Is Inspectr free to use?
Yes. The Free plan includes 3 reports per month, 15 photos per report, and 5 AI report summaries, with no card required. Upgrade to Pro or Elite whenever you need more.
How much does Inspectr cost?
The Free plan is $0 and includes 3 reports per month. Pro is $9.99 per month and adds unlimited reports and photos, AI drafting, and your company branding on reports. Elite is $49 per month and adds the AI Report Builder, which turns your site photos, voice notes, and documents into a draft report. Pro starts with a 7-day free trial. You can change or cancel your plan anytime from Settings.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Pro starts with a 7-day free trial. You enter a card when you start it, you are not charged during the trial, and you can cancel anytime from Settings. Cancel before it ends and you pay nothing. If you don't cancel, Pro begins at $9.99 per month when the trial ends. The trial is available once per account. You can also use the Free plan indefinitely without a card.
Does Inspectr work on my phone on site?
Yes. Inspectr is a web app that runs in your phone's browser, so there is nothing to install. Fill in findings as you walk the property and take photos straight from your phone's camera.
Do I need to install an app from the App Store or Google Play?
No. Inspectr runs entirely in your browser on iPhone, Android, tablet, or desktop. There's nothing to download or update. If you want one-tap access on site, add Inspectr to your phone's home screen from the browser menu.
Do I need an internet connection during the inspection?
Yes, Inspectr needs a data connection while you work. Your findings and photos save automatically as you enter them, so there's no save button to remember and nothing to sync when you get back to the office.
How does Inspectr know what to include in my checklist?
You answer a few quick questions when you start a report: home type, year built, septic, well, pool, attic, crawlspace. Inspectr builds the checklist to match. Condos skip the roof and site sections, homes built before 1978 include lead paint advisories, and septic, well, and pool sections appear only when the property has them. It can even fill in the weather, temperature, and ground conditions for the inspection date and address with one tap.
What's in the PDF report my client gets?
A clean, printable document with every section of the inspection, your findings and photos, and a summary. On Pro and Elite it carries your company name and logo.
How do I deliver the report to my client?
Export the PDF from the report page and send it however you already work with clients: email, text, or your booking platform. The PDF is self-contained, so your client doesn't need an Inspectr account or a login to read it.
Can I use my own company branding?
Yes, on Pro and Elite. Add your company details on your Profile and your name and logo appear on the report and the exported PDF.
Why does my exported PDF have a watermark?
Free plan exports carry an Inspectr watermark. Upgrading to Pro or Elite removes it and puts your own company branding on the report instead.
Can AI really write the report for me?
On the Elite plan, the AI Report Builder takes the photos, voice notes, and documents you collected on site and assembles a draft of the full report, findings and photo placements included. You review and edit everything before it goes to your client, and you can undo your latest build with one click.
Can I edit what the AI writes?
Always. Everything AI produces is a draft you can review, edit, or delete before the report goes out. The delivered report is always the inspector's.
What AI features are included with Pro?
Pro includes AI drafts for individual findings (turn a few terse notes into a professional write-up), narrative write-ups, and unlimited AI report summaries. Elite adds the AI Report Builder on top. On the Free plan you get 5 AI report summaries per month, so you can try the AI before paying anything.
What's the difference between Pro and Elite?
Pro gives you unlimited reports and photos plus AI help piece by piece: finding drafts, narrative write-ups, and report summaries, along with your company branding. Elite includes everything in Pro and adds the AI Report Builder, which takes everything you captured on site and produces a draft of the entire report in one pass. If you want AI assistance while you write, Pro is the fit. If you want AI to produce the first draft of the whole report, that's Elite.
Are there limits on the AI Report Builder?
Elite includes up to 60 builds per month with up to 250 photos per build, which covers full-time inspection work comfortably (the caps exist for fair use). You can rebuild after adding more material, and you can undo your latest build with one click.
What happens when I hit the Free plan's limits?
You'll see an upgrade prompt when you start a report past the monthly limit or add a photo past the per-report cap. Nothing is lost: your existing reports stay exactly where they are, and your report allowance resets each month. Upgrade to Pro anytime for unlimited reports and photos.
How long are my report photos stored?
On the Free plan, report photos are kept for 90 days. On Pro and Elite, your photos stay with your reports for as long as you're subscribed. Report text is never auto-deleted on any plan.
Can I cancel or change my plan anytime?
Yes. Manage your subscription from Settings, where you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel through the billing portal. Billing is handled by Stripe, and there are no contracts or cancellation fees.
Is my data secure, and can I delete it?
Your reports and photos belong to you. Everything is transmitted over an encrypted connection and photos are stored in private cloud storage tied to your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings: your photos are deleted from storage, any subscription is canceled, and you're signed out everywhere. A deactivated copy of your account record is kept for a limited period, as described in the Privacy Policy.
